For this class of popular culture, let us get closer to the culture around us, and really have a sense of understanding and understanding of popular culture. Popular comes from a Latin word meaning people. Culture that is popular, that is, of the people, is culture that is widely favored or well-liked by many people, and will therefore reflect their current tastes and preferences.
John Fiske noted that culture is the constant process of producing meanings of and from our social experience. Therefore, cultural products and their meanings will reflect the prevailing mood of our social experience.
Pop culture celebrities and trends may seem frivolous and even ridiculous at times, but pop culture itself is highly meaningful. It can reveal our culture’s preoccupations that are otherwise inaccessible, unveiling what we admire and to what we aspire.
Popular culture has also been described by Jane Caputi as a repository of social mythology, a narrative of what a society values and fears. It holds up a mirror to our collective imagination. Social mood influences what we see in the cultural mirror, whether bright and hopeful images or dark and troubling reflections. Popular culture is highly sensitive to the darkening influence of negative social mood and the uplifting impact of positive mood.
Robert Prechter noted that social mood also shapes the tenor of cultural expression. People express their mood in their choice of music, movies, television, clothes, books, art, political candidates and causes. Trends in these activities do not necessarily indicate how a particular individual might feel or act but they are a gauge of the net mood of the society at large. Major cultural trends peak and trough coincidentally with the stock market in their joint reflection of social mood.
Summary: 
In the current trend of popular culture, more people choose to follow the trend, rather than the love of their own. More is to follow the public's aesthetic and identity direction. More cultures influence the choice of young people, but they don't know whether it is good or bad. We can't speculate on the direction of fashion.

This unit is about discussing music. This is a unit that I am more than expecting and I don't like. First of all, I really don't know anything about music, but I like it very much. This kind of love is the kind of superficial like, because I can't tell the kind of music, I don't understand the music and I don't know the melody, so I really want to Learn something about music.

When I first started reading old old song, I don't understand why some bad things affect young people nowadays, and I don't understand why the popular trend has always followed the preferences of young people. In my original cognition, I have always felt that some music that has power or can resonate with people will be mainstream music. Is it that I don’t understand the meaning of music or that I am not a young person?

I  think Black dragon is a good bumper sticker for this unit. I think this sticker is suitable for my understanding of a certain part of the unit, such as the main reason for those who are not bad to affect young people. Those things are like a black dragon coiled around the young people, allowing them to see the sun and grow in the dark.

I learned about the origin of blue. Its earliest crowd was African. They changed their position in the initial unequal position and constantly developed their own culture. In the process, they gradually formed their own distinctive culture. Under the influence of a period of time, more people are affected to know and touch the blue.

When I came into contact with new songs, I knew how to classify them. At least I have some understanding of the history of music.

This unit we continue our journey of cultural exploration. Culture continues to give me new ideas and ways of expression. Not only history and human culture, he also includes art such as songs and movies that are not material. A person can also represent a century, but also can reflect the characteristics of a century.
From the readings of our unit, we know what pop culture is and what makes a superstar. I also learned the gaps and progress of the age. In our star project, I learned and met many excellent people and their excellent works.

My Aha moment was that I do not know the year of a things I was very familiar with. In many cases, we have a lot of things that we feel are used to, but we don't know much about it. For example, converse shoes. I like it very much, so there are 5 pairs of converse shoes in my house. In fact, I don't know much about it. I don't know when it started to be popular, and I don't know its design philosophy and meaning.

I want to give  a bumper sticker called “ rainbow”. The reason is our culture from many different years and each year has a different color to representing the pop culture and factors of that year. For our culture now, it will look like a rainbow that all the color put together and pop factors connect. It represents the combination and innovation of culture.

I did not know that person called M.J. very well before. Now, I learn many music, dance, event and his pop factors in his life. He had called ‘ pop king’, and he represented a popular culture of a century and also led people to become part of Pop culture.

Through the study of the pop culture class, I learned a lot about culture. For example, culture is divided into many categories. For example, there are different levels of culture. There are many cultures that we can't explain but are used to in our lives. Culture has always been in our lives, perhaps in an unusual culture that we don't often find. I also learned a lot of different countries' cultures from my classmates' posts. Our culture is very different, and there are many interesting things in different cultures.





My Aha moment was when I read the reading guide, I read a sentence that said the culture is learned, not inherited. Culture always is an ancient thing in my brain, I know the culture is learned from our family and history, but I forget the culture is around us and we all can be the creator of culture.







About this unit, we have learned about culture. Culture is diverse and versatile. We can inherit, learn, share, and we can also create culture. Culture is always around us, and it can be far away from us. Different countries have different cultures and we should respect different ones. I think the short phrase can be diversified culture.









I did not know that the Mongolia’ information. When I saw the Tv play that talk about the Chinese history and have Mongolia’s attire. I did not think it is real. Last week, we learned the culture of others country, then I knew that the dress really was Mongolia’ attire. And I told my mom this information, she also did not know it.
